The University of Basel
The University of Basel is the oldest university in Switzerland with an international reputation of outstanding achievements in basic and translational immunology. The proximity and tight connection between the Department of Biomedicine at the University Basel and the University Hospital Basel provides the ideal framework and expertise for this translational project. The University Hospital of Basel is renowned as a center for multiple sclerosis and lupus, which is complemented by an interdisciplinary immunology clinic. It is also headquarter of a nation-wide comprehensive longitudinal study cohorts for multiple sclerosis and lupus.
Role within 3TR
UNIBAS participates in WP2 (“Quality Control and Ethics”) and WP6 (“RA/SLE/MS”) and is responsible for the recruitment and immunological characterization of multiple sclerosis and lupus patients.
