AOPD is a recognized referral centre on a regional and national level (L.R. n.56/1994 and D.P.C.M. 8.1.1999). The rheumatology unit is a 3rd referral rheumatological centre, of prominence within Italy, for the diagnosis and management of patients affected with systemic connective diseases and other rare rheumatic conditions.
Role within 3TR
AOPD participates in work package 2 (Quality Control and Ethics) and 6 (RA/SLE/MS) to provide samples of SLE patients. Within WP2, AOPD will contribute to 6 different tasks. In WP6, AOPD will work on the SLE and MS prospective and longitudinal observational study design.
