The respiratory research unit of the Bispebjerg and Frederiksberg Hospital is the largest respiratory research unit in Denmark, with an extensive track record on epidemiology and disease mechanisms in asthma. The Danish Severe Asthma Registry, a nationwide registry of Danish asthma patients on biological treatment, is administered from the Research Unit.
Role within 3TR
RegionH will contribute to 3TR through clinical translational studies conducted at the Respiratory Research Unit at Bispebjerg Hospital, University of Copenhagen, Denmark: The research unit will conduct a range of intervention studies in asthma and COPD patients, including thorough clinical characterization and phenotyping, combined with extensive biosampling from airways, breath, blood, urine and stool.
