Centre Hospitalier Régional Universitaire Nancy

Nancy University Hospital is the reference health structure of the Lorraine region in France and it benefits from various national and international partnerships. It has three missions: care, training and research. Nancy University Hospital is one of the main research hospitals in France (1650 beds and daycare places, 650 doctors, 150.000 stays and day-care per year).

Role within 3TR

Nancy University Hospital will be involved in WP7 (Molecular analysis of response to biological treatment in IBD) through access to retrospective longitudinal cohorts of IBD patients undergoing biologic therapy and prospective recruitment of IBD patients in an open-label random-choice observational cohort study. The gastroenterology department of Nancy University Hospital has already been involved in many national and international IBD clinical trials for more than 10 years. It comprises 10 people dedicated to IBD clinical research (CRA, physicians, clinical researchers, study nurse, project managers etc.). Laurent Peyrin-Bioulet is head of the IBD unit and he is a worldwide recognized leader in the treatment of IBD. Author of more than 500 peer-reviewed articles over the past decade, Laurent Peyrin-Biroulet was the coordinator for the development of the first disability index for IBD and of the treat to target (STRIDE) recommendations.
